Mid City Salon was founded in 1996 by Teresa Bowman with a simple goal: to help people feel confident, beautiful, and inspired. From the beginning, it was clear that Mid City Salon was something special. What started as a small salon quickly became one of Salt Lake City’s most trusted destinations for hair and beauty.

Clients were drawn not only to the talent of the stylists but also to the atmosphere Teresa created—inviting, stylish, and grounded in genuine care for every person who walked through the door. Today, Mid City Salon continues to reflect that original spirit, serving clients from downtown Salt Lake City, Sugar House, and beyond.

A Family Tradition of Beauty

Teresa has been doing hair professionally for over 40 years. Her passion for the industry, her eye for detail, and her ability to connect with clients helped build Mid City Salon into what it is today. Her daughter Alyssa followed in her footsteps, apprenticing under Teresa and now bringing over three decade of her own experience and creativity to the salon.

Together, they represent two generations of dedication to the craft of hair styling and the art of making people feel great about themselves. That shared passion has shaped the salon’s values: professionalism, warmth, expertise, and above all, a client-first mindset.
